Meet the talented duo behind Capture the Moment Media (@ctm_media) professional cinematographers, John Hilhorst and Mat Collings. These two #CreativeswithAloha along with their talented team of storytellers, offers video production in Vancouver and Victoria, British Columbia.
I love the adventurous spirit that CTM Media’s videos convey, and it’s very inspiring to see them help global brands tell their stories. Video is one of my favorite ways for brands to showcase their products and services and in my opinion one of the most powerful. These amazing clips are created by a production team of directors, cinematographers, editors, animators, and colourists!

What or Who inspires your work?
“Light, shadows and unique locations have become a big part of our inspiration and really help bring some unique visuals to what we do.”
What's your favorite part about being an entrepreneur/videographer?
“The opportunity to work with other passionate entrepreneurs and be creative while doing it.”
Favorite place to visit on earth?
“Hawaii - When we first started in 2010 we wrote it in our 5 year plan to expand our business there and buy some Jet Skis… lol. Perhaps someday but for now its a great place to vacation, be adventurous or just relax (and bring along a camera of course).”
Best restaurant in Victoria?
“We got two - Trattoria and Taco Justice”
Cats or Dogs?
“Still looking for an office dog!”
Waffles or Pancakes?
“Pancakes all the way.”
