I met Janine on a branding shoot for my business in Calgary, AB and I’ve been following along on her journey ever since! Janine is an inspiration to many photographers, moms, and business women! I look forward to her makeup and outfit tips and hearing her usually hilarious IG stories. She has a gift for making you smile even on the rough days!
Q&A with Janine Deanna
What's your favorite part about being a professional photographer?
“Creating art out of people's greatest connections and knowing that the purpose and value of this art only grows more important as time goes on.”
What music, artist, or place inspires you?
“Traveling anywhere inspires me, I love to travel and it's my most favorite part of my job when I get to mix my love of travel and photographer together. I am fascinated by exploring every corner of a new place and think I am super annoying to travel with as I linger in places until I feel I have gotten all I can from it. Music, I listed to a lot of James Bay and Ed Sheeran, and I am obsessed with every book Brene Brown has written!”
Favorite month of the year? and why?
“September, because if I could, I would live in a permeant season of Autumn forever. I LOVE the smell and all the vibrant colors and the 'cozy' feeling that comes along with it.”
Cats or Dogs?
“I love animals, but my sweet chocolate lab True, is the most amazing of them all! He's by my side no matter where I am in our home and I can't image my days without him :)”
What did you want to be when you grew up?
“A singer, or talk show host! (my backup plan was to marry one of the Backstreet Boys!)”
Tim Hortons or Starbucks?
“BOTH, just depends on the day!”
