"Creatives with Aloha" featuring Natalia of Ingrid Rose Floral Artistry

Flowers are the music of the earth.

Meet Natalia Solis Vermette. New Mother. Floral Designer. Island Girl. Pug Mom. Founder and Creative Director of @ingridrosefloralartistry on beautiful Vancouver Island, Canada.

I met Natalia at the Kindle Workshop in Victoria, BC where she was creating an amazing floral design for the front of my VW Bus, for the photo shoot. Her sweet nature, calm demeanor and passion for unique floral designs was radiant.

I especially LOVE the meaning Ingrid Rose Floral Artistry. Natalia explains, “The name Ingrid Rose Floral Artistry is inspired by my two grandmother's, Ingrid and Rosario. One, a classic beauty with timeless, elegant style and impeccable taste; the other a warm, vibrant spirit with a shoulder shimmy that could rock any dance floor.  Together, they are classic with a twist, the same way I approach floral artistry.”

Enjoy Natalia’s gorgeous floral creations and other beautiful things, on her Instagram page, often set to classical music, it’s like a short creative escape from your day!

Natalia is a great inspiration… a creative entrepreneur who worked hard to replace her 9to5 with her true passion. With that being said, her floral business is blossoming and I’m very proud of this gracious business woman.

Q&A with Ingrid Rose Floral Artistry

What's your favorite flowers? or Flower season?

“My favourite flower season is Spring and my favourite flower is the Frittilaria Persica, grown by @ninebarkfarm . I’m also partial to @stillwild__  Eveline Dahlia and Agrostemma.”

What's the best part about being a florist for you?

“I love everything about being a florist, except the transportation of the flowers (this takes years off my life!!!). I even love processing the blooms as it gives me the opportunity to touch every stem, give it a fresh cut, place it in fresh water, and let it hydrate until it’s their time to shine.”

What’s your favorite part of wedding floral design?

“My favourite part of every wedding is presenting the bridal bouquet. Florists are often welcomed at wedding in a way that even close friends and family are not: we are usually there as the bride is getting ready, and having a moment with the bride on such a special day of her life is truly such an honour.”

Thank you, Natalia, for taking part in my “Creatives with Aloha Project”. It’s a pleasure to work with inspiring business women like you, thriving in your industry!
